yeah, i know i'm late but you know what they say "blah blah blah than blah blah blah"
IRON MAN
robert downy jr. is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors. when i first heard that would be playing tony stark/iron man my reaction was "how appropriate". for those that don't know tony stark is a functioning alcoholic, so like i said, it made sense for RDJ to play him. very impressed with marvel's first jump into the pruducing arena, much much better than it had a right to be. when the industry had been bringing us crap like daredevil and x-men 3 i thought we were at the end of the superhero/hollywood frenzy. thanks to this and a couple others (see below) it looks like it is just the end to BAD comic book movies. hopefully we will never see a comic property put in the hands of mark steven johnson who's previous movie credits were grumpy(ier) old men and the michael keaton christmas classic jack frost. i think favreau has ushered in a new era of good comic book movies.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK
first off, let me say that i did not hate the first hulk film by ang lee. i think that he made a beautiful film. the problem with the first one was that lee had just one an oscar for crouching tiger hidden dragon, and something special was expected of him or expected at least from himself. where he err's is in his choice to do the hulk. he tried to do much more with that story than he should have. people want to see the hulk because they want to see things smashed and explosions. they don't want to see a tortured, forbidden love (which is what lee does best, see CTHD and brokeback mountain). this film however "the incredible hulk" was exactly what i would like to see. hulk tore stuff in two, he kicked a man across a field, and destroyed plenty. no heavy handed story. although the story was good. excellent preformances by everyone involved ed norton as bruce banner did not hurt. this movie also did a wonderful job of setting up a continuity within the new marvel films with a special appearance by a RDJ tony stark.
THE DARK KNIGHT
man... i called this. view here less than a week before ledger left us i made a comment about how he would be one of the best villians on screen in contemporary film. not that i am alone in this or that it was a suprise to people. i LOVED this film... just LOVED it. i could have watched it for another 3 hours. i'm sure you have heard all of the criticism "the bat voice" and "plot holes". to that i say BAH. people are looking to be the lone naysayer in a sea of praise. the internet has made everyone an instant critic, i mean just look at me.... who am i and why should you listen to me. i digress.....
if the people knocking TDK were around when the godfather came out (often refered to as an all time best american film) they would have found fault in that as well. truth is, you will see negative where ever you want to see it. did the dark knight change the world and bring on world peace? no.... but niether did indiana jones or star wars and i loved those. get out of your own way and enjoy this movie, TDK is as good as it gets when it comes to comic book movies.

looking forward to upcoming movies.... THOR, ANT-MAN, CAPTAIN AMERICA and AVENGERS. hopefully they will make hulk the bad guy in the avengers movie similar to the ultimates story. i would love to see michael c. hall in an upcoming batman film. i don't know where or who... but he just has the feel of a batman villian just waiting to happen.

so i quit my job at charter (worst job ever). and i got my job back at glass doctor, making two dollars on the hour more than i was when i quit. i have a new piece that i had been working on. i sold it the same night that i finished it so i don't have a picture. i'm going to harass them to see if they will give me a picture for my files. i will be back with more.

today's workout:
i try to do a constant workout no more than 20 seconds of rest, in-between items on the list.
8 min tabata interval run on an eliptical machine (tabata intervals consist of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of active rest. i run 20-s, walk/jog 10-s).
go get a couple sips of water (SIPS)
- 2 sets of 15 curls with a 40lbs dumb-bell (each arm)
- 1 set of 15 bench press 140lbs
- 1 set of 20 shrugs 50lbs dumb-bell in each arm
- 1 set of 15 bench press 140lbs
- 1 set of 20 shrugs 50lbs dumb-bell in each arm
- 2 sets of 10 lat pull down 140lbs

this is my steady work out, that i do 3 times a week. i go up 5lbs each week on the curls, and 10 lbs each week on bench. after a couple of weeks i reset back to 130-bench/30-curl and start over.
i often times on average every other week get together with my buddy and do a kind of crossfit training... click here to see the type of stuff i do with him.

gary gygax obituary now i know most people that i am friends with don't care. but this man was the creator of dungeons and dragons. for better or worse he had a huge influence on culture in the 80's not to mention the lasting effect he had on geek culture in general. i played DnD growing up and in all honesty i would probably still play given enough time in the day. my mom used to play and i have her copy of the players handbook. i have played AD&D i have played 3rd edition and i have played so many video games and board games influnced by the ideas presented with dungeons and dragons. my band even had a song titled THAC0. although i didn't know him i feel a kinship to him since i was a geek with an over-active imagination while growing up. he has given a legacy to nerds wishing to live out thier fantasy with paper and dice. for those about to roll, we salute you.

i went to go see "no country for old men" not too long ago, and i have to say.... man that is good. really there isn't going to be much i can say to make you want to go see it, that hasn't been said already. just know that if you are a fan of the coen brothers and you don't go see this movie.... you are a jerk. i would have to say that javier bardem, is the best villian that you are likely to see in a film since, sergi lópez, in pan's labyrinth. and possibly until we see heath ledger as the joker. and at the end... if you get up and declare.... "that's it?" someone in the theatre that WAS paying attention should be legally allowed to punch you.... in the face.

yesterday, i had a pretty full day. i started off waking up earlier than i would have liked and went to my friend alex's house for working out. it was his 30th birthday and i don't think either of us were excited about working out in the rain/mud. but we were gonna get to use his new 15 lbs. medicine ball. we watched a couple episodes of metalocalypse and played some pinball (his lady friend, heather, got a rollerderby themed pinball machine). my brother met up with us and we got into the workout. my brother is in much better shape than i am. and he kicked our tail into the dirt. the work out consisted of:

vishnu help me i love will smith. i saw hitch in the theaters. i saw the pursuit of happiness in the theatre. and i'll probably see hancock when it comes out. i have stated this elsewhere but, as far as rapper's turned actors are concerned i have more respect for will smith than i do for ice cube. this movie was a little bit different from the indepenence day's and the bad boy's in the sense that it wasn't full of snippy oneliners. will smith is actually decent actor and would put him in line with my favorites. this movie... sure the cgi was a little hokey. but it had what i like in an post-apocolyptic film survival, dogs, and mutants. it made me want to read the book. so... yeah...
ps it also has this awesome batman trailer at the beginning of it.
i give it 4 out of five beards.

i have the biggest headache right now. i don't want to be at work and i kinda need to take a shower. today's lunch was a can of tuna and about 4 or 5 triscuits (olive oil & rosemary). today i will go home and cook some salmon burgers they are scrumtrulescent.

vegan green arrow chili

Ingredients:

1 lb (one package)of morningstar crumbles (or other vegan meat substitute)
2 handfulls of large chunk TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein)
2 tblsp of cumin
2 tblsp of paprika
1 tblsp of cayenne
1 small (or half of a large) onion minced
1 to 1 ½ cup of chopped red or green pepper (optional)
2 tblsp minced garlic
1 tblsp fresh ground black pepper
1 ½ tsp of salt
½ of dried basil, crushed
1 tblsp chili powder A (i use private selction chili powder)
1 tblsp chili powder B (some generic mexican chili poweder)
1 tblsp chili powder C (again some generic caijun seasoning)
1 16 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
2 8 oz. cans of tomato sauce
1 16 oz. can of black beans
1 16 oz. can of red beans
1 tsp of brown sugar
Franks Red Hot sauce to taste
½ cup water

Garnish:
Grated Cheese (cheddar)
Oyster crackers or saltines

Directions:

In a large saucepan, cook crumbles and TVP keep moist with water and/or olive oil. add spices (cumin, paprika, cayenne) until flavor blends well.

Add onion, green pepper and garlic and cook until soft.

Stir in undrained tomatoes, seasonings, tomato sauce and water into a large pan.

Let simmer for several hour. Occasionally stir.

Ten minutes before serving, add brown sugar, franks red hot sauce, and beans.

+1up - to have a ohio/kentucky flare to it serve over spaghetti noodles. i personally just crush up a bunch of crackers and pour it over that making it very thick.

+1up - i have always wanted to serve this over plain white or brown rice, if you try this let me know how it goes.

+1up - serve with a peanut butter (no jelly) sandwich. it might sound weird but a peanut butter sandwich goes with chili like grilled cheese goes with tomato soup.

+1up - use your own blend of chili powders or your prefered hot sauce to give it your own personal flavor.

anecdote... i used to help run a venue/youth center and a lot of the bands that came through would end up staying at my house. before they got "big" coheed and cambria came through and i made this chili for them. the next time they came through they tracked me down to see if i would make it for them again.

i know it has been a while since i have updated the beard progress pictures. well here it is day 43. it is actually day 45 right now. but most days that i miss are the days were one of my room mates are on the computer when i wake up. i managed to get this pic on my computer last night when i got home from work and a quick visit with kalen. i also got some pictures of my work station. you can see how offices space it is over here. you can also see the clutter on my desk.

pain and ice

so these past few days have been filled with pain. my left knee feels like it has a migrain in the middle of it. it hurts a lot. my left sholder fills like the ball joint has a crack in it and no matter how i move it it hurts. i can barely sleep at night. when i lay on my back i have to put something under it so that it is even with my body. when i lay on my right sholder cause laying on my left is out of the equation. i have to lay it over something so it doesn't just hang. ice and ibuprofen have been in regular circulation for me. after about an hour of ice on the knee it feels good like new almost. after an hour of ice on my shoulder. it just feels a little numb. it still hurts. i will see a doctor soon.
ps i'm reading "the gunslinger" by stephen king. it's pretty good so far.

a long time ago. wanda (the scarlet witch) had children with her husband , vision. but it turns out that she didn't have kids she created them with her chaos magic powers. she was forced to get rid of them, because they were not real, and is made to forget about the whole thing. a slightly tipsy wasp mentions wanda's children kicking off wanda's nervous breakdown. rewriting reality so she could have her kids back. wanda unwittingly is attacking the avengers killing hawkeye, the vision, ant-man and destroying the avengers mansion and in general causing the break up of the avengers. magneto arrives in the nik of time to rescue his daughter (quicksilver and wanda are both magneto's children) and takes her to genosha.

nick fury finds ou that latveria is funding supervillian terrorists. fury then goes to the president with this information and is told to stand down. not happy with this nick gathers a group of superheroes to go on a secret mission to overthrow the latverian goverment. to keep things secret, the heroes minds are wiped of this mission. one year later a small army of b-list supervillians make an attack on NYC. leaving the heroes wondering what is going on. fury via LMD (life model decoy) tells everyone "this will be the last time anyone will see me" and goes underground communicating only with captain america, the winter soldier (bucky) and sharon carter. maria hill is the new director of shield.

electro causes a major break out from the raft (the s.h.i.e.l.d. maximum security supervillian prison). nearly 90 prisoners get out all but 42 are detained by the intervention by a group of heros, several of them already there for a defferent reasons. captain america and iron man form the new avengers with this new group of heroes.

failing at fixing wanda's mental state. prof. x calls a meeting to decide the fate of the scarlet witch. quicksilver relizes that the only option anyone is coming up with is to kill wanda, runs to genosha and convinces his sister to take drastic measures. wanda creats what is known as house of m. everyone has thier heart's desire. peter parker is married to gwen stacy. mutants are the ruling class. however. wolverine's greatest wish is to get his memories straight/back. wolverine wakes up and for the first time in his life, he knows who he is. the downside is, he also knows how the world is supposed to be. in the final confrontation with wanda, everything is set right with one minor change. wanda casts what seems to be her last spell and says "no more mutants". and the mutant population drops to 200 world wide. officially making mutants an endangered species.

the illuminati (dr. strange, prof. x, black bolt, namor, iron man, mr fantastic) meet to finally come up with a solution for the hulk problem once and for all. a LMD nick fury makes contact with bruce banner. he is asked to destroy an AI satelite gone wrong. he is told he is the only one/thing that can stop it. banner accepts. after he is launched into orbit a message is transmited from the illuminati. pretty much apologizing for the subterfuge. "you have always claimed of wanting to just be left alone" so the send him off to a lush planet with no intelligent life where he can never hurt another person. as things go (rarely according to plan) the ship is knocked off course and the hulk is sent to a war torn planet ruled over by the evil red emperor. the weakened hulk is forced into gladitorial combat eventually winning (or taking rather) his freedom overthrows the emperor and becomes ruler of the land, takes a queen concieves a child and is loved by the people of this land. then the warp core on the ship that brought him here explodes causeing a shift in the techtonic plates and destroying most of the world including his wife and unborn child. the hulk and his surviving warbound start thier trek back to earth to kick illuminati ass.

meanwhile back on earth. the new warriors (on thier new reality superhero tv show) take on some bad guys and they are completely outmatched. provoking the bad guys into killing somewhere around 600 civilians 300 of them children. iron man leads a superhero registration act to congress. it becomes law and all superpowered individuals are illegal unless registered. captain american and seevral others are against the registration and fight iron man on this. questionable tactics are used by iron man and reed richards. in the end captain america realizes he is causing more harm than good by fighting this and surrenders. maria hill steps down as commander of shield, and tony stark is the new commander. on his way to trial captain america is assasinated by the red skull's henchman crossbones.
just in time for
the hulk comes barreling into our orbit and takes out the black bolt. then he collects the rest of the illuminati. finally the sentry get's off his backside and takes on the hulk. till there is just bruce banner and robert reynolds fighting each other. turns out it was one of hulk's warbound that was responsible for the ship blowing up and everything is set right.
the new avengers go on a mission to japan to find ronin (echo) she has been missing for a while. they find elektra leading the hand. elktra is killed and reverts back to her skrull form.... what? that's right elektra has been a skrull for who knows how long. and she was resting control of the japanese underworld as the leader of the hand. now we are looking a possible skrull invasion. major trust issues. because wolverine couldn't sniff her out, doc strange couldn't magic her out any conventional means of discovering a skrull have not been any use. spider-woman takes the skrulektra body to tony stark because he is the only one she can trust. tony takes it to the illuminati because.... back in the day after the kree/skrull war the illuminati went to the skrull homeworld, got captured and then broke out. tony brings the body to them and we find out... that the black skull is a skrull. probably for years and years since thier trip to the skrull homeworld.

that should have everyone up to date.

DAY 34 AND THE GODDAMN BATMAN.

i have been going slowly with my updating i got caught up in my online game called travian. so i present to you day 34.

and my thought's on all star batman and robin the boy wonder. if you have read frank miller and you like him.... and you don't like this. then you have never understood frank miller. there for a while i didn't get him. i didn't understand sin city. then someone explained it to me. frank miller writes over the top stories with over the top characters. anytime he has written batman before he has been held back at least just a little by editorial. with this, with asb&rtbw frank miller is writing batman the way he wants to write batman. gritty, unsure, CRAZY. doing his best (and failing) to intimidate a 12 year old boy. and dames. vicki vale isn't a leading lady or a love interest. she's a dame. all the nerds need to get over themselves. don't go into it expecting the batman you know and love. don't go into it expecting anything other than frank miller. this is batman. the goddamn batman

i found a grey hair in my beard. there are several of them on my chin. it's wierd. i didn't have them in my last beard. personally i kinda like it. i hope i get grey temples too. then i will start wearing an eye patch. and i could be a bad guy from james bond film.....or nick fury.

also. if you are a fan of "survivalist adventure" stories. go check out 30 days of night. it is the best vampire movie (if not best horror film) i have seen in a VERY long time. for fans of the comic.... go see it. if you didn't like the comic.... go see it. it's better than the comic. it trims the fat and makes it appealing to a wider audience. not too gorey, not too much love story. it's good. i feels long but at the same time it cuts to the point. vampires go to barrow alaska to go on a feeding frenzy for thier month of night time. the story is about a group of people and thier struggle to survive for 30 days. big fan.

also lots of head's chopped off. it might feel a little zombie-ish at times. but don't let that keep you from enjoying it.

today was probably one of the worst days at work. i think i got every idiot in america. i had one gentleman that was 2000 years old... and he misspelled "IPCONFIG" aproximately every time. no matter how i explained it to him. INDIA, PAPA, CHARLIE, OSCAR, NOVEMBER, FOXTROT, INDIA, GOLF. it just wasn't getting through.
thanks to normac for teaching how to make this 8 page comics from a regular 8.5x11 sheet of paper. i plan on doing something with that. maybe a little comic stripish. who knows. right now i just feel overwhelmed with ideas. musical and artistic. when my beard is back. i will be at full strength. i'm kinda like samson like that.

today from work i god a dvd with episodes 1 and 2 from dexter season 2. i really need to see the first whole season. i have only seen episode 1 of season 1. work has been so very boring today. mind numbingly so. i find myself trying to keep from yawning while talking to customers.
in other news. i might be getting my job back at glass doctor. just part time though. on my days off from charter i would work at glass doctor from 8-4:30. not sure if 100% want to do this. i have been told that they would be ok with this. i just need to talk to the main guy. hopefully this could help me with my money troubles by 1)giving me extra income 2)keeping me busy so i don't have any time to spend my money.

my beard is coming in nicely if not slowly. time-wise i will be beaten. but fullness you won't be able to hold a candle to it. i am always thrown off when a mans beard naturally grows into a goatee shape. like mine is. there is nothing i am doing, but it def looks like i am growing one. i got a hair cut and you will most likely see that tomorrow on day 12.
someone i care about is doing some shit that could lead to some serious damage. tonight i went to talk to at least one of the enablers. not putting it on their shoulders... just making sure that they know that they are part of the problem. if they knew the person was gonna shoot them-self they wouldn't give 'em the bullet to do it would they? i plan on having a serious discussion with the person soon. after that... i'm not gonna beat myself up over it.
on the lighter side. it was a nice day and brick stayed outside today.

then kalen and i went to the #1 asian buffet. i had two plates like this

i think i am just gonna start telling the red cross to fuck off. i went in today to give blood. they moved everything around. the people that normally take blood where not there. and i had some new jack nurse taking my blood. at first she missed the vein she dug around in my arm with the needle till blood started flowing. to which she replied "i don't know why it's working but it is.. oh well." then she kept looking down at the bag with concern on her face. she called another nurse over she dug the needle around a little and the blood stopped flowing... so they pulled the needle out and sent me on my way. i filled the bag up about half way. and they couldn't go to my other arm cause they already took too much blood. Like that is gonna hurt me.
good news is. i had an avocado milkshake from "the nam". it was the most delicious ever.

last night i aquired the deathklok cd. it's actually pretty good. although i'm not too sure that if it was a serious cd i would enjoy it. other recent additions to my cds. the john fogerty "revival" cd. i haven't listened to it, cause i'm slightly afraid to. i want it to be good but his past has not been positive. he has a song on it called creedence song. i'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that there are not hand claps on this cd. today will be my first stop at the comic shop with my newly implemented self governing rule of "no more than 5-6 bucks".

my day off. today is the beginning of my weekend. i am off on thursdays, fridays, and sundays. my good friend charles (from my days working at glass doctor) and i had lunch together. usually we get q-doba, but today we had mr. ghatti's i think i am gonna vow from this day forward to never eat that pizza again. it is soo gross. the days of me enjoying all you can eat for the novelty of all you can eat is coming to an end. quality over quantity and what not. i need to get out and explore and do some new shit. experience some new things. it seems like almost everything that there is to do in my age group revolves around drinking. i want to go to the lego museum. i want to go to the marvel and dc offices. i want to meet stan lee. i want to go to a comic book convention. that's right. news flash i'm a fucking nerd. this is the shit i want to do. most people want to see france or some such romantic shit. i want to see the offices of two of the biggest comic book companies around.
i want to go to school at the joe kubert school of cartoon and graphic art. i want to go to new zealand and see hobbit town (i don't even know if that really exists). i want to make comics. that is what i want to do with my life. but what people don't realize is saying that is like saying i want to play professional basketball. except the options are much, much, much more limited.
i'm gonna go read.

i think i have figured out what do to about my recurring money issue. step one. i will stop spending so much money on comic books. as it is, i probably spend about 20-25 bucks a week on comics. i am gonna try to get that down to 5-6 bucks a week. i figure if i cut my books down to 2-3 books a week i can do this.
the books i will continue getting:

captain america
powers
criminal
invincible
walking dead
action comics (as long as donner is writing)
all star batman and robin the boy wonder
castle waiting
and maybe a mini series here and there. i will finish up astonishing x-men. and a couple of other series. other books that i really want to get i'll just have to wait and get them in collected form for a discounted price from amazon or get them used from some of the LCS's (local comic shop). next. i will have to not eat out more than..... 1-2 times a week. that will be the hardest part. i might actually lose a little weight too. not eating unhealthy food all the time.
still running. i ran for about 20 min on mon. and did some light lifting. uped the reps lowered the weight. just trying to get a good excercise and again.. burn some fat.

i don't have it. i have been thinking more and more. i am gonna stop getting comic books. i spend about 120 bucks a month on comics sometimes more. i go every week and spend 20-30 bucks. i am just gonna have to bite the bullet and quit going every week like i have been for the past 6 years. there will still be some books i will get. but they will be limited. and if there is something that is just too good, i'll get the trades. chance are i can get the collected version really cheap on amazon.
at some point in time i'm going to just say fuck it. i can't afford to keep being loyal to this comic shop. loyalty doesn't pay bills. my financial well being is more important than insuring my comic shop gets my money. i will still go there for the few titles i plan on keeping up with. everything else it's either the used-bin or online.

due to nothing else going on on a friday night (although i realized too late that my friend was having an art show at the clay buffet). kalen and i went to see the heartbreak kid. the new ben stiller movie. and it was as uncomfortable and predictable as ever. have you ever seen a ben stiller movie? you have seen this one. this movie solidifies my stance that the only redeeming quality of ben stiller is that his dad is jerry stiller (who was also in the film). if anyone tells you that this is funny. you need to seriously re-evalute your position as friends with said person. oh yeah.... carlos mencia is in this. just to add extra stink to the turd as it circled the drain. go see superbad if you want to laugh.
ps added bonus. ben stiller grows a beard in this and he looks not unlike those geico cavemen.

well... i don't have much to talk about concerning my beard... so i'll just do what i do best. talk about comic books. here lately i have been re-reading the captain america books (written by ed brubaker). they have been superb. back stabbing, international espionage, terrorism, death and redemption. if you like comics and you are not reading this you are an A+ jerk. you should read this even if you don't like comics. other books by brubaker you should check out: sleeper, criminal, gotham central.

day one of beard off.

so here i am completely shaving my beard for the first time in probably 4 years. i have had some form of facial hair on me for quite some time. there for a while i only had a mustache but even then i didn't shave just used a pair of clippers. some of the guys at work are having a beard-off. i'm 2 days behind but still confident. i have always wanted to do one of those time lapse things with a series of pictures my beard growing.

so i went out to my parents house two days ago. on my way out in the 100000 degree heat i stopped by my old job dixie dozen. i used to be the projectionist when i worked there... i quit on may 19th 1999. i still get to see movies for free there... i guess it pays to get along with people.

i talked to my old boss for a bit. she is married now... i can't believe i used to have a crush on her......
wait.. not it isn't i had a crush on anything that was female back in the day.
wierd how somethings never change...

one more detour before i end up at my parents house. i go down to the greenwood boat docks. we used to walk up there and go to this drainage ditch that spit out into the ohio river. probably not the safest thing ever. but we lived in prp our options were slide down the slime slide into the ohio or go to the construction sites and throw dirt clods at each other (and believe me, we did both).

the slide.. was pretty much a drainage ditch that has had all the runoff water flowing through prp pumping into the ohio. in the cooler months it just builds up a moss/alge on the concrete making it slippery. then in the spring and summer months the water would just flow. and we would slide down the concrete ditch. into the ohio....
well, they made it so this coudlnt' be done anymore. so thousands of redneck children will not have the advantage of the concrete slime slide.

on my way out i saw this....

finally i make it to my parents house and i look through old pictures and take some with me to make copies of.. i fix thier computer.. man.. people who know nothing abotu computers or the internetz should not have either.

so today i went to the gym... something i have been doing on a regular basis. i missed last week but i have been going consistantly for about a month now.
i started off at 330 lbs. like i said i eliptical for 15 min. and then lift for 15 min.. i have been going up in weight as far as lifting goes.. i can feel a difference in my life. i feel more energetic when i am with the band my breathing seems less strained.. my arms feel more firm. i'm feeling good....
i have also lost some weight. i hopped on the scale today and i am now at 320lbs. i don't really have a goal.. as far as loosing so much.. but i do want to just lose weight.

today i called the girl that i was dating to tell her that i didn't mean all of the mean things i have said recently. when you break up with someone you tend to say and do mean things... even though you don't really mean them. i apologized and moved on. today is the first day in 3 weeks i haven't felt like complete and utter garbage.
first thing i did when i got home? i got a hold of my ex the one from way back when (3 years ago if you care) and i told her that i forgave her for what happened and that i was sorry for being mean or hateful towards her.
i just realized that i'm spending too much energy holding all of this in... keeping these grudges in is not healthy. i just need to let it go. move on with my life and worry about me being happy. no one else can make me happy. it is up to me and only me. first step getting rid of this negative energy i have been caring around with me for too long.
i'm not there yet.. but i'm working on it.

transformers

i watched transformers again.. this is the second time i have viewed this film...
it doesn't make any sense... and i'm ok with that. there are plot-holes big enough to drive an optimus prime through. i mean...what was the goal of getting the allspark in the city... did they have an actual plan? and if they did why wasn't the plan to shove the thing in megatron's chest from the begining. problem solved.
but like i said.. i don't care about the plot holes... cause, i enjoyed the movie. the pointless story only bothered me enough to say... "wait a second why did.... ooh cool robots"
sometimes i wished that life work they way it does in movies... cause the geek always gets the 'hot' girl, then he makes out with her on top of his new extraterrastial friend while his other ET friends watch. except for prime.. is having a inner monlogue moment.
i really like the way the new camaro looks.. but am i alone in thinking that the old beat up version was cooler?
so wrapping up...
i didn't go to see transformers to see oscar material... i wasn't expecting great acting or even a cohesive story.. i was looking for an excuse to see giant robot aliens that turn in to earth vehicles (only GMC for some reason) fight giant evil robot aliens. i mean what could they have possibly done to make this film a fine piece of cenima? go for the fun not for the continuity or acting. and you will have fun.

the truth of the matter is Muscle is heavier by volume than fat. so while 5lbs of fat weighs the same as 5lbs of muscle. fat takes up more space. one cup of fat will weigh less than one cup of muscle. the "myth" is true. i guess i feel a little better.. .but i still need to lose some fat.

so here lately i have started taking a good, hard look at myself. my life isn't heading in any particular direction. i don't have many goals. i'm 27 years old and i work (for the time) at a telecommunications firm dealing with high speed internet customers. that is a nice way to say i work in a call center. it's so "office space" it isn't funny. inbetween calls i usually just mess around on the internet. i get two 15 minute breaks a day and one hour lunch. most times my lunch is taken up with a trip to the gym downstairs. i run (actually i eliptical) for 15 min. usually a mile in my case (i'm slow so what). then i lift for another 15. go take a hot then cold shower. come back upstairs sit at my desk and goof off for another 15 or so. i think i will start 'writing' here in my free time my 15 minute breaks and what not.
my only goal right now... is an imediate one of losing some wieght as of this typing i am at 325 lbs it fits my 6'3" frame ok.. but i know i'm unhealthy. i could stand to lose some. i don't want to die when i am 45. often times i tell myself that muscle weighs more than fat. i'm not too sure i have ever believed that. next break i get from calls i'll look into that... after all i do have the source of all information at my fingertips.
i read comic books. i like non-fiction. usually history style books... i love it here in kentucky, and i love to learn. time to go back to work
